Sustainability & impact

Sustainability, evidenced — not asserted.

Our approach is aligned with the ISSB’s IFRS S1 and S2 standards, GRI reporting norms and the UN Global Compact. Every impact claim is tied to a measurable indicator and an independent data line — across our own operations and every mandate we manage.

SDG alignment

The goals our mandates are mapped against.

Contribution is claimed only where a mandate can evidence it — indicator, data source and verification method are documented per mandate.

    Partnerships for the Goals

Mapped to the UN SDG framework and reported under ISSB-consistent disclosure principles: indicator, data source, verification method and cadence documented per mandate.

Theme 01 · Climate transition

Net-zero alignment, asset by asset.

Net-zero alignment, asset by asset.

Commitment. The subsidiary portfolio is being steered through the climate transition in line with ISSB IFRS S2: each holding discloses Scope 1 and 2 emissions, transition exposure and the decarbonisation levers available to its board.

Strategic goal — grow clean-energy and low-carbon exposure across the portfolio while financing industrial modernisation that reduces, rather than relocates, emissions.

Measured outcomes — percentage of subsidiary holdings with climate disclosure in place, direction of travel on Scope 1–2 intensity, and transition capital deployed per year.

Theme 02 · Nature & food systems

Land, water and food security.

Land, water and food security.

Agriculture is where sustainability is most tangible: water efficiency, soil health and food-security value chains. Our agriculture holdings are screened for water stewardship and land practice, and the results feed client reporting as quantified indicators.

Strategic goal — measurable improvement in water productivity and land stewardship across portfolio agriculture, in line with SDG 2 and SDG 6, evidenced by operational data rather than marketing copy.

  • Water-intensity metrics per holding
  • Food-system value-chain exposure
  • SDG 2 · 6 · 12 contribution mapping

Theme 03 · Governance & anti-greenwashing

The governance gate behind every claim.

The governance gate behind every claim.

Sustainability claims pass through the same governance gate as financial figures. The governance function signs off impact language with the same rigour as a P&L statement — indicator, data source, verification method, cadence.

Strategic goal — full SFDR-style disclosure alignment and CSRD-compatible reporting for European partners, so every claim survives a regulator, an auditor and a data vendor alike.

  • Indicator before narrative — no orphan claims
  • Independent data lines over self-reporting
  • Annual assurance-ready impact report

Theme 04 · People & partnerships

Social value and inclusive growth.

Social value and inclusive growth.

Sustainability is also social. Our mandates finance enterprises that employ, train and upskill local talent, and our family-governance work embeds responsible ownership practices aligned with the UN Global Compact principles.

Strategic goal — decent-work indicators and partnership outcomes (SDG 8 · 17) tracked alongside financial performance, reported bilingually for full stakeholder transparency.

  • Decent-work standards across subsidiaries
  • UN Global Compact alignment
  • Bilingual EN/AR impact reporting
